Working with Lynze is a GIFT!

Before starting Your Global Career, I was not fulfilled in my current professional path and unsure of where to go next.

I had been searching for the previous year for a remote opportunity, and then the past several months specifically for a job abroad. That’s when I also started researching graduate programs in Europe with the goal of seeking another degree as a means to move abroad.

I was feeling stuck and insecure about my personal capability to build a career, worrying that I’d made the wrong choices.

Was it too late to start a global career?

I hadn’t actively sought out a career coach or program yet. YGC came up as a Facebook ad when I was aimlessly scrolling and looking up apartments in Germany. It hadn’t really occurred to me that this was an option – that there were other people who wanted to find work abroad and that this is possible without a highly specialized skill set.

I was really inspired by the videos of success stories from program participants. It made the dream feel less far away, when I saw young professionals with similar goals who were able to make them happen without the specialized skill set I thought was necessary to qualify for careers abroad.

When I watched a webinar with Lynze, the material resonated with me so much that I decided to seek help from someone who has been there.

Today I’m at a point where I feel like I have the tools necessary to do informational reach-outs to companies I want to work for, and can celebrate feeling like I found a way to be myself and show sincere interest without being opportunistic off the bat.

The program helped me realize this is where I need to be before I can comfortably reach out to hiring managers.

I’m especially excited that during this unfortunate time in history, that I have the means and time to research and connect with hiring managers in my industry.

What I learned is that everyone is on their own timeline and this isn’t a one size fits all journey.

Beginning The Program, I thought I would “check every box” so to speak and move through the modules full speed ahead. As my mental and emotional realities kicked in on the backdrop of a complicated political moment, I learned to treat myself with the generosity the YGC cohort has shown me on our calls, and that returning to my global vision and taking the steps in stride is what will lead me to the right place.

I really appreciated one-on-one calls with Lynze and the opportunity to connect with others in the program on the weekly call-ins.

Lynze brought me a wealth of practical knowledge on how to successfully pursue a career abroad, and she is also an extremely effective and versatile career coach.

I feel like she was thoughtful about understanding my own situation and challenges, and using her experience and expertise to tailor my needs to the bigger picture of the career search.

Working with her lifted my spirits at the time I needed it most, and I am forging ahead with confidence about my future.

Working with Lynze has been a gift!
